My dentist has tried to bond on my porcelain crown several times and each time it keeps falling out. Do you know what can be going wrong?
Matt F.- Canton, OH
Matt,
If porcelain crowns are bonded on correctly, they stay on. The shape of the tooth preparation can effect how well the the crown stays on.
My recommendation is that you get a second opinion to see what is actually going on with this crown. You may need new crowns. It is possible you’ll have to go to a different dentist, but I would wait to see what your second opinion says. If money is a factor, some dentists give free second opinions.
